Hi Guys, My Dad is purchasing a 1972 BMW 3.0CS from the San Diego area and needs it shipped to the Tampa Bay area. Any recommendations and thoughts on whether or not to go the enclosed route? The car is in need of paint. Thanks for your input.
if it needs paint, take the open top route. If you really want ti protected from the ride, then enclosed transport. Intercity is more expensive but very good. They have better trucks. DeMoise Trucking (sp) is also very good, but their trucks are not as nice.
I used Intercity almost exactly a year ago to move a new (to me) 1984 911 Carerra from Kansas City to Indy. They picked it up at the tail end of a blizzard in the KC area, drove through horrible weather and got it to me safe and sound. The husband/wife team were excellent - helpful and polite.
Alpine did a great job delivery the Mondial from LA to Dallas for me. Highly recommend them as they were quick, competitive priced, and good communication. here is the contact info. Mike Feuerhelm PH:563-382-0702 Cell:303-829-9141

Glad to see you posting here Jim!!! I got a quote from you a few weeks ago about moving two cars from Lawton, OK to Savannah, GA. I have not forgotten that, but am waiting to see how I have to handle it from my end - whether my employer will pay for it or if I have to. PDG
Thanks Jim. I got your e-mail quote as well. Once we get our transaction completed I will let you know. Thanks again to everyone for your advice!
