F8 Auto stop/start

ah, thanks guys... it's ok-- I'm well known around here in the car business and I'm confident I'll find and choose the right gig sometime quite soon... just gotta digest this as it was a shock n surprise to all. And then, I'll get my feelers out....

back to the topic though... that F*in auto start/stop is inactive without having to hit the button!! So yay me!!! and yay to the person that buys it when I have to sell it cos I'm unemployed... just kidding, I hope

 

Yes, I've always pressed each time I got in and yes, the light goes on when I press it.... I just randomly decided to say F it and chose not to press and see what happens... and it doesn't activate which is GREAT! been multiple drives each day since I started this thread so whatever day that was... hasn't turned off once.

Actually about to walk in to Ferrari in about 10 minutes and talk to my friend/GM. We’ve tossed the idea around 3 or 4 times in the past about me going there but I was always happy where I was at or he didn’t need someone— so will see how they’re doing now.

Ya, I just left from visiting and discussing... They are slow, like everyone else and they only have two finance managers and that is plenty at the given moment.. I'm feeling this is going to be a common situation around town.... My most likely situation is that someone will choose to replace someone with me based on my history and results... (and I'm thankful for this possible scenario) But there just aren't many or any dealers out there with open spots, especially with another 50 finance guys now looking for new gigs due to my stores closing

 

lol, ya I also have a business doing the extreme detail, paint correction and ceramic coatings but that's only when someone begs me cos it's so much work... BUT, ge, I guess I got the time now so I should get some cars to do. And it's back to poker more full time I guess too... Life is funny.

well, It's official, the Auto S/S is inactive in all driving modes, THANKFULLY.... so the question is, why? Is there some setting you can choose? Can it be disabled by Ferrari? Also, there is no seat belt chime THANKFULLY either... is this related? Do you guys have an audible chime if seat belt is not plugged in? I have the red light on screen showing seat belt but no chime.... this is the PERFECT combo for me that the S/S doesn't work and no seat belt noise since I don't wear mine.... But 100%, long drives with all modes with plenty of stops and the car never turned off and on or whatever it's supposed to do. I'll ask at Ferrari if there is some thing that was or can be done to turn off the feature and seat belt noise out of curiosity.,,, but definitely will tell them NOT to fix it.

 

hmmm, interesting about a tune-- maybe just an ecu change that turned those things off? I mean, I don't know if its any performance tune- doesn't seem to be anything crazy but I've never driven another so I don't know.... hmmmmmmmmmm

The closing of my stores made national news the other night... was quite the shock and surprise for such a HUGE company to instantly close without warning...

 

AH HA!!!!!! Genius!!! This must be why it doesn't engage! I've never used a seat belt so this is the PERFECT answer-- Thank you Dazed for being so smart! yay.

and also, the last part-- I used to turn it off each time and then I never take my key out of the car so it's must also always be off for next drive.... so cool to have the actual answer-- thanks again man.
