Saw a new silver Audi A6, it looks absolutely smashing from behind, everything about the car looks solid, contemporary and classy.

Looking at the BMW 5 series...yawn!

Even the interior of the Audi projects great class unlike the spartan look that BMW was shooting for.

Interesting that the BMW brand was never known for cutting edge designs, just great driving cars, but you put the wrong guy in the decision making seat and viola you get a major cluster*ck of the brand. Wonder how many 5 series customers they've lost to the A6.

I even think the A6 has surpass Mercedes in design and workmanship.

I believe the lesson to learn from this is never screw with a success formula, you can evolve it but don't recreate it if it's not broken.

The BMW bodies are horribly designed. The new 3-series looks like they are trying to reverse things a bit. The 5-series is probably one of the best sedans in the world, but it looks hideous. If I'm going to pimp out a car, I'd rather just do it myself, rather than buy it that way off of the lot.

I guess I am alone when I saw I love the BMW styling. All of them, they have presence, I look at them and know they're BMW's. I would take a 5 over the A6 or whatever benz competes in the segment.

Oh yeah, and I love I-Drive.

I though the old BMW styling had the "they're BMW's" presence. I think the new styles are too "entry-brand American". Sadly, the BMW logo and name will keep the cars selling, but it's the fall of BMW in the luxury and prestigeous chain, along with cheaper prices.

a black 545i looks sinister, very nice car, it definately grows on you. The only flops are the Z4 and 7series,IMO.

i find bmw has really lowered the standard of their interiors, and their designs are horrible, not suprising the new audi`s really surpass them there, especially the a6 and a8.

benz has stepped up their design, the new SLK AMG looks fantastic.

Benz has always been pretty good in the designs. The SLK AMG looks hot, saw a white one the other day in Boston. I never seen a the super SLR Benz, so will they be styled enough to tell the Benz from the supercar? Is Benz going to stick with the new "nose design" (not sure what to call it) for the other models? Benz needs to improve the quality problems, and eliminate the cheaper models. Sadly, Benz isn't going to do that. Jaguar is going back upscale, and if it can capture the style and quality of its competitors, it will be in a major position to steal the affulent crowd.

I think that Audi is doing a superb job of there styling. The new front end on the A6 looks great. The back end looks way better, it makes me actually want to buy an A6.
