I've looked at previous threads for transport companies and have even called a few. Turns out most are very busy on the east coast. I'm looking for someone in the Denver area to transport a 355 from Boulder, CO to Santa Fe, NM. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The good news is, Denver and Albuquerque are both right major highways: I-25 and I-40. The bad news is, Albuquerque isn't a common drop off point so you may face some add'l delays. There's a lot of traffic east-coast to west-coast that may hit I-40 and go through ABQ but have nothing to do with Denver.

For covered transport, I have used Passport Auto Transport from Orlando to Albuquerque, and then a second time from San Francisco to Albuquerque and was pleased with their service (though it took quite a long time as was not cheap).

I have also used Passport (now FedEx passport) several times to get cars to Fort Collins. Rates are comparable to other companies. Service was good - never any damage. But, they are always slow to pick up the car. Told me 2 weeks and it took 3+ weeks every time.

While I can't offer suggestions of who to use I can offer a suggestion of who NOT to use: DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers). Just don't do it.

Oh, just ask one of us to drive it down for you. I can't imagine anyone would drive recklessly.... heh heh heh! ;)

I would recommend...www.wdtc.net They have very reasonable rates and best of all, they are located in Denver.

That's a good thought. If you can get a company based in denver (where it's a mandatory stop for trucks), the logistics will be easier and cost should be more reasonable as well.

Fly up and drive it down. It's a 5 hour drive, IIRC. That would make a fun afternoon.

I agree with Tom, Lamb is good, but I think Ryan's idea is better :)

For a great scenic drive, you can take 285 from Denver to Santa Fe. Today would have been fantastic.

Especially if you can take the top off, hear the engine, and feel the cool wind in your hair.

Driving the car from Denver would have been fun. I bought the car, had some service done and now it is ready to be picked up. One big problem, I leave the country Wednesday for 2 1/2 weeks. I won't even be here when it arrives! Looking on the bright side, I have something to look forward to when returning.

    Mike,
I'm thinking I should let you drive my "B" this year except it may ruin your life. As Ryan says, "once you B, you'll never S again". Mr. Lucero did not specify, but I'm hopeful he bought a man's car with a fixed roof. HAHAHA.

    Best,
    Dave
