Auto Union on display @ Audi forum NY !

i was gonna try and head to a media event they had a week or two back. Ill be in the city on saturday so ill see if I can stop by and take some pics.

 

Is the reason this car is fetching a hefty penny because it was the last surviving of its group commissioned by Hitler? I am being dead serious I read that somewhere.

 

Was there, tues night, they said its no longer there but they gave my kids posters of the car.

 

Ah darn I was going to make a trip to go see it on Saturday as it will probably be tucked away in someones collection in Europe.

Is the car that is going up for auction the same as the one that displayed at the grand opening of the Audi Forum a few months ago?
