I have a pair of 348 Challenge kevlar seats that I want to install in my car. But the original cloth cover is absolutely beat and the foam is disintegrating. Does anyone know a good upholsterer within ~30-45 minute drive of Wayne? Also looking for someone who does quality work but isn't going to double the price just because the seats go in a Ferrari.

Basically, I'd like to have something done similar to pics below (not my seats) or even nicer quality (e.g. rolled and glued around the edge rather than tightened with a wire and spring) either in tan leather to match my interior or black alcantara to match the steering wheel. Let me know guys. Thanks.

I can't speak to Ricardo/plastic coverings. But about 2 years ago I went on a quest to get my 308's seats redone in leather. I'm from Wayne. I went to lots of surrounding apholstery shops. From custom to GAH skins, none could promise a phenomenal job and I wouldn't have been happy with a patch or hack job.

Bradon is a bit out on long island, but the leather work is second to none. Give them a call. I'd be happy to bring the 308 by so you can see their work.

Thanks Clyde. I thought about Bradan and will likely contact them, I was just trying to find a quality shop a bit closer to home. Do you know anything about these guys? http://www.creativeautointeriors.com/ They're in Butler.

Probably safer to go with Bradan. They'll best understand the look that I'm after and from everything I've heard and seen, their quality is great.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

    Thanks Clyde !

I would recommend going leather on the bolsters. Suede/Nomex/ Alcantara is going to wrinkle and fade very fast on such a hard edge. How about tan leather with the center section in black Alcantara? You are going to need staples or a wire to keep that cover in place.

Fair point. I wasn't really even thinking about the wear. Not sure how the combo you mentioned would look. I wouldn't want anything too garish. Do you have a sample pic where you've seen this done?

As far as keeping the cover in place . . . probably go with the wire. That's what OMP used on the original red cloth.

How difficult is it typically to match the tan leather on these cars? Thanks.

I did visit them on a recommendation. They use GAH skins & all they did was install them. And for that, they were a little pricey. But the owner seemed nice and was knowledgeable about the leather. Had I not found Bradan, I'd probably have used them.

I have seen great seats turn into trash in less then a year due to material selection on the wrong surface. We can photoshop it off your seat photo but I have never seen it done.

That will depend on what material you decide on. Nomex and cloth have tons of play so they can get away with only a wire.

Every car is different. It depends on the cars condition generally. Sometimes you don't have a chance others you can get dam close.
