AutoArt Reventon & LP640

When I was an Autoart dealer, I always hit up the company folks asking about Lamborghini's in the works. They were hesitant at first to put out the Countach and Miura, and they told me the Diablo was all they were really going to focus on. When the Miura and Countach finally hit and the Muricelago's did well, they started to think about other things but have never really jumped in full on behing the Lamborghinis. Pretty much they head for the "hot" cars, and don't do too many versions of a car unless it's just paint that changes... so, STILL waiting for a 25th Countach, for about 4 years now... I doubt a reventon or 640 will pop out as it just wouldn't sell as well as they would need to feel comfortable.

More likely (but still won't happen probably) is race livery Diablo GTRs... but again, waiting on those for a few years now since I was talking with them about it.

 

They have said in an e-mail to me, that they are not interested in making the LP640, but are interested in making the Reventon.

never heard of the company and i dont know of anyone that has one...

the 1/43 scaled ones are all over ebay, the lp640, roadster and versace edition


i just saw that it says due 2008...so a few more weeks (possibly months!)

 

I buy all my models from Diecast legends here in the UK.

They have a huge warehouse fully stocked with all the models, and often get the prototypes form manufacturers which they display on their premises.

They send out a monthly magazine to subscribers and people who have bought models. Always full of detail on available & up coming 1:18 models. Usually a page per model, nice photos & detail! Many cars can also be bought signed by famous drivers etc, particularly the F1 & rally stuff

very good company, only one issue, they can be a little slower to get stuff & sometimes ebay is easier & quicker! But for sure they are an excellent company, love buying from them.

The LP640 is made by Norev (http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/3581/norevlambocc2.jpg). The Audi R8 is being made by Kyosho in dark blue and white. Blue is out in some places already (http://www.dreamwheels.co.kr/).

 

I hope they don't make a version of the Reventon, it's bad enough Lamborghini decided to make it.
