What I learned after 5,600 miles in a Ferrari F355 Spider
Seems the author took a leaf out of Doug De Muro's recent Jalopnik article on running costs. Either that or I am in a worryingly unhealthy state of denial...
$28k service probably involved valve guides and a full refresh of everything else while he was in there. Great article though. Goes to show the 355 garners more and more appreciation as it ages.
I have a feeling the Spider top had some part in that service bill too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The owners of both of my 355s have each been hit with >$20K bills and one did not even include valve guides. They just took the cars to the dealers and said "do what you need." I feel so bad for them.
I agree but that even happens with fords. I bought a f150 in 06 new at 120k km had to r place cam sprockets and tensioners and oil presuure sensors to cams. Ford wanted 5500. My mechanic and i did it in 12 hoirs and 900 parts.
