Anyone collect Autocourse books, I have from 1971 thru 2010... I stopped after that, but will eventually get them eventually.

I am missing two books - 1978 and 1980. I saw 78 at Goodwood last year for sale but it was crazy money. have not see a 1980 for sale.

Anyone have any Autocourses from these years let me know, I may be a buyer.

Motorsport just ran an add that shows you can get digital versions of the books but I like the real things!

Tom, when you say 78 do you mean 77-78 or 78-79?

sorry for hijacking this thread, but I haven´t found a better thread to ask my question,
but at least it isn`t offtopic...

I have an Autocourse book from 1961/62 without the dust cover, what is a realistic price? I had a look at abebooks/ebay and they have only adverts with dust covers and I think (I might be wrong) their prices are optimistic?

    cheers

    Y.

Well, let's see it this way (open to discussion of course):
    - it's not yet very difficult to find
    - those with dust jackets (book in good to very good state) are sold at about 300 euros on E-Bay U.K if you're not in an auction, but through "buy it now".
    - the dust jacket is very important to any collector, and at these prices these are books destined mainly for collectors (a book without D/J would look out of place among a collector's collection of books all with D/J)

Therefore, I guess you'll have to discount rather heavily, perhaps 33 to 45% ??

I would say - $150 - $200 higher end if not yellowed or smelling of smoke etc...
