    We went to the SCCA autocross event last weekend at Lake Elsinore to view and talked with three of the organizers (super friendly and helpful). I tried the stores they recommended locally, but they had motorcycle helmets and not autocross helmets. I've pinged five stores today and none of them had the appropriate helmets in stock, just online orders.

    No direct experience but you could try Jimco in Santee. Bell or Simpson are basic brands to start with...
