It was a fun event, truly epic. I was just looking forward to driving the track anyway. During heat one right at the start, a Z28 Camaro lost control & hit the wall, one was hurt but this delay set the day back 45+ minutes or to redesign the first slalom, cars were just getting too hot in the section. This had everyone now three runs rather than four. I really could have used that extra run. I was hitting the rev limiter constantly in second gear, this track was too big for an autocross course, almost a mile in length. My last run I stayed in third longer with a bit of better results, I screwed up & slipped out of third into natural then trying to get in to second in one of the fastest corners. Brian made it in his 360CS with some very impressive run times, having his Ferrari present to this event really made everyone’s day. A certain white S2K was really giving Brian a great challenge, never under estimate the power of a Honda. With that all said I think I would be better to run on better surface rather than the infield race course. Too many loose rocks in certain areas kicked upon the track, I like the bus parking lot better, much cleaner runs. I took some photos so every one can get an idea what the day was really. All I can say is it was HOT, lots of walking, & way too many over-entries.
