Twenty years ago there was a wonderful shop across from the factory on the Via Abetone: Autofficinia Tony. He was a wonderful source of older 12 cylinder parts as well as repair and restoration, does anyone know if he is still in business?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Gregg, I'm pretty sure it's the same place, I know there's an old workshop close to the factory that specialises in restoration and work on the older cars. You might find something in the Vintage section, or the guys who visited Maranello last year, Joren, Roel and the others. I know they had a good look round the town.

BTW, do you own a Flavia? I just sold my old Fulvia for something a little more modern.

    Cheers
    Simon

you can find some interesting cars in resto there.
2 years ago he had a burnt to the ground 750 Monza, that was rebodied last year but still without engine. two very fine daytona spiders are in a ground up restoration among many others.
this year a friend visited again - and found a lambo countach !

As I mentioned I was there 20+ years ago, a man at the factory recommended I visit "Little Tony" for bits for a 308 "Sportspack" motor. "Little Tony" had an astounding amount on new factory spares for 33 - 50% of what the factory was asking (this was when you could purchase spares at Maranello). In addition to new and used 308 bits I purchased a new set of Borgo P&L's for a 59 TR for the princely sum of $600USD (remember, this was 1985 or so).

I offen wonder if there was a secret tunnel from Ricambi to Little Tony's place...

I will try to post some photos of his place as well as Sport Auto Modena from that trip.

    Thanks again.

    Gregg

    Hi Michael,

That Monza is a 500 Mondial s/n 0506 MD and is now in the Galleria museum repainted darkred (it was yellow).

Toni is allways worth a visit.

    Best, Peter

20 years ago Franco Toni was running the firm they looked after our cars in the late seventies. Now Sylvano the son is running the firm now.
In those days there where all different firms that made parts for the factory so then it was easy to get the parts and now most of those firms are owned by Ferrari and they make sure all the parts are sold by them.
But they still find NOS parts from the older models for there good clients nowadays.

peter - you´re right - it´s 0506MD. it´s always a fault to answer to a thread without having a look into the pic-archive, where the car is recorded correctly.
