Hello fellow Ferrari-lovers. My name is Michiel van den Brink and I'm from Holland. I'm new here and I would like to introduce myself with some of my drawings. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/Ferrari250GTCalifornia.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/FerrariDino246F1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/Ferrari365GTBCompetitione.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/Ferrari250GTO64.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/Ferrari250GTSWB.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/FerrariEnzo.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/Ferrari250GTO62.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/Ferrari575Maranello.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/MichielMobiel/BugattiRoyaleKellnerCoupe.jpg Please visit my website te see more examples of my work. (I'm sorry that the language is in Dutch...) http://spaces.msn.com/michielmobiel/
Nice work. Welcome to FChat. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're sharing your work as an enthusiast, not a capitalist.
Thank you! I do not intend to promote my artwork for commercial purposes, because it is just a hobby. I do sell my drawings sometimes, but it's not my daily job. My real job is automotive and product designer. I used to work for Spyker. Do you know that crazy Dutch brand?
Welcome to the board, those are amazing works of art there. There are several discussions on Spyker here... what kind of work did you get to do on the cars? Interiors? Exteriors? What are you doing now?
Wow. Very Impressed. Nice work. Of course, I think you should and an F40 Drawing to your portfolio.... Welcome. Simon
Wow, I really like that Dino F1! Nice! I'm going to have to see if I can find some photos from that angle for my metalwork. Art is a hobby for me too, but I do sell a few pieces so I can buy more tools. Welcome aboard! Thor www.JavelinArt.com
Wow! I especially like your 250 GTO metal cutout! Very creative! I did the conceptstyling of the exterior & interior of the new Spyker SUV. At that time I was the only designer in the company... Unfortunately I didn't get to finish the job for personal reasons... The exterior of the SUV shown at Geneva is not completely according (understatement...) to my drawings, but the interior turned out to be exactly as I intended it to be. I work as a freelance designer now and I create boats, furniture and everything else I can get my hands on. I also work for a Dutch carmagazine "Autovisie" for which I create Artists Impressions. ( www.autovisie.nl ) Next thursday you will see an impression in Autovisie of some Ferrari you are all very eager to see!
I'm really looking forward to seeing your interpretation of 612 P4/5, I hope it'll be better looking than the Autoweek one . btw, are you related to the creator of the Vandenbrink Carver?
Have patience, it certainly looks better than the ones from Autoweek. I have shown it to Jim "Napolis", but his only comment was: "Very Cool". No relation. There are a lot Van den Brink's in Holland.
as long as we're at it... A 250 TR F50 and 288 GTO drawing would be nice. What kind of prices do you ask, ballpark? PM me if you'd rather not post it on a public forum, or need more specifics.
For special requests and more info, please send me a PM. For it's a hobby, I am very selective on which car I want to draw, because my time is limited. The car must be fun to draw, so I wouldn't pick a Fiat Stilo or a Geo Metro, but I'm sure you will understand that. The portraits are made in the evening-hours, so it will take several weeks to complete one. Dank u!
Welcome on board Michiel, My compliments to those wonderful works of art, keep up the good work! Best regards Carsten
Thank you, Carsten. I can say the same thing about your work! :0 Earlyer I found out about your work via http://www.bugattibuilder.com/ I like the way you use backgrounds. But why don't you work with colours?
Very nice work... my fave of the bunch is the the california... great choice with the blue. Non-red is sometimes refreshing to see... Is that pencil crayon/chalkpastel on coloured illustration board? And, if i may ask, what size are we looking at? Again,... wonderful work... very impressive... and welcome... GT
Thank you all for your compliments. Most of my drawings are 50x70 cm. I use a coloured paper matching the colour of the car. I mainly use pastels, crayons, ballpoints and markers. The highlights are done with white paint.
