Mifi blows, it has a very poor signal when you move so that is out, but I want some connectivity in my 7-series and thinking about it. Any experiences?

I assume you're referring to Myfi. I hate to burst your bubble, but the Autonet 3g connects via EVDO. This gives you the choice of Verizon or Sprint, both of which use the Myfi. I think the Autonet is more money for less service. I have the Verizon Myfi and love it. Of course it all depends on your location, but I've never not been able to connect from the car.

Not sure I understand...you want to use wifi on the road while driving? Like for a laptop? Why not just tether your 3G phone to the laptop and use that connection? That's what I do with my 2G BlackBerry and it isn't really THAT slow. 3G would be even faster. T-mobile doesn't charge extra for tethering and I know someone with AT&T and they haven't told him to stop doing it. Verizon is one of the few that charges you a lot extra for doing it...

I had Sprint MyFi and it worked very well for me. I always got a strong and fast signal.
