Looks to be a custom hot-rod type show.

Air America 910am radio will be broadcasting on sunday, since I won the tickets I was asked to stop by. The only down fall is if you ever been to one of these events, it can be extremely crowded. Btw Jim, I hope you broadcast there with a five second delay.

Last time I went, there was the pristine 246 Dino.. and I believe an L car..

That was about it. Really not my style, I prefer the Concorso, etc..

The Autorama is sponsored by the Dallas Mopar Club. Unlikely that any Ferraris will be there this year. In prior years, I recall only seeing a silver Dino (featured in Texas Driver Mag) and a red 308.

It will be about 60% muscle cars from 1960s-'70s, 20% street rods and the rest a mixed bag. Very high quality cars. Must apply first for a show space and prove your car is worthy of this level show. No paint spray can specials. Big toy car and model booth section upstairs.

Off-duty strippers seem to appear most often on Saturday afternoon & night.

    Beer sold there.

I'll be there some of the time at the booth for Eastfield Community College's Auto Body Shop or boosing with the Dallas Mopar Club's "'Cuda Guys."

I didn't make it to the Autorama, I got just out side of downtown Ft. Worth & the overpasses were extremely slick & still not sanded down. TX DOT, WTF??? So rather than risking getting creamed by some speeding idiot in an SUV, (yeah, it almost happened) I took the smart route & just headed for home.

We were in FTW Saturday am (I-20 - Hulen area) and the bridges on 35 and the large mixmaster at 20 & 35 was sanded, folks went slow up it but no problems on that - however, several wrecks on 20 and cars facing the wrong way in traffic.

Went to Autorama Saturday. Surprised it's up to $13 a head now. Mostly wild showcars with nary a Ferrari in site. The original musclecars are what I go to see. Larger than normal toy section upstairs. I bought a 1999 Ferrari 399 F1 for $20, and also got a Sunoco Donahue Camaro, a 1970 Sox and Martin Cuda, and a 1/8 scale Hemi Race Engine. Wanted a Grumpy Jenkins Camaro but the guy wanted an insane $160. Looked for G.Scott at the bikini stage but no sighting. Should have rechecked the Playboy poster signing booth. Autorama hasn't changed much in 30+ years.

Sorry I missed you Phil. Was servicing two off-duty bikini dancers behind the main stage at the time.

No Ferraris as expected. My two favorites were the '69 Camaro custom painted "antifreeze green" and the dark blue metallic '55 Chevy Nomad custom at the front. Spectacular body work and paint on both. My back aches just thinking about the numbers of hours they had to block sand those two. The red, blown & injected '41 Willys coupe was very pretty, but a total fiberglass fake. I thought the best muscle car was the orange '69 GTO Judge convertible.

None of my 'Cuda friends entered the show this year. They may still be in treatment at Shick Hospital...
