First of all, hi everyone, glad to be here. Recently I got myself a 07 F430. While I enjoy listening to the engine most of the time, I need some music for the everyday traffic jams. The radio manual that came with the car is in Italian, so I had to download an English one from Becker, the Model 6105 I think.
The manual says that there is an AUX input that could be used with a ipod for example, but I could not find the AUX port. Is the port optional or standard and where is it located?

If this is an option that I do not have, could you tell me what MMC cards could be used? Is it MMC only or could I go with SD card (I am pretty sure it is mmc only), and what is the maximum size (in the event I ever find a mmc card, very rare these days around here).

    Thanks in advance!

I'm new as well but if your radio is like mine. I ordered a cable from Becker auto sound and then activated the aux input by pressing the right combo of buttons.

There is a thread on this, search for "iPod" and it comes right up. All kinds of info if this applies to 430's too

Thanks for the info. I actually checked the ipod topics beforehand, and I plan on ordering such cable so that I can control the ipod from the radio. But I thought in the mean time I could use a simple audio cable and put it in the AUX port, which I guess does not actually exist. You need a Becker cable...

I too have an 07 and encountered same. What's worse is that I have a factory iPod cable and the Becker doesnt recognize my iPod. This is a common problem apparently. Btw, if you find out where the aux port is located please post that info.

I have an 08 F430 and found that navigating the iPod from the radio was difficult (as well as doing just about anything with the radio - maybe one of the worst UI's ever). Anyway, my factory radio has a slot for a Compact Flash memory card. So what I did was make a few different mixes and keep the cards in a small storage box in my car. Navigation is still as difficult as with the iPod or radio, but at least I have a few mixes to pick from that are already setup.
    Good luck.

The card slot is great. I didn't even realize that I had it until a fellow Fchatter enlightened me earlier this year.

Compact Flash is a great option, but mine says MMC cards, and they are like non-existent anymore, at least locally, I have seen some online. :( The radio has definitely the worst UI I have seen, and of all F's Beckers, mine is the worst haha
By any chance, if anyone have the same Becker unit (Model 6105) with MMC card slot, have you tried using a SD card?

This radio is atrocious. Not only can't I change the FM stations easily, it is rejecting certain CDs. Anyway, @ Rangestormer, where is the card slot? Irrespective of being MMC cards on yours, I am not even sure mine takes cards of any variety. Is the slot hidden or am I just having a brain cramp. Jpeg photo would be helpful if it's not too much trouble. Thanks very much.

On my 2005 you push the eject button and then when the screen flips down you just pull the face off. Kind of scary the first time but it goes on and off no problem. The card hole is on the bottom lower left section of the radio once the face is off.

Ok thanks for that. I wasn't even aware that the face plate detached or moved at all. I will have to take a look and see if that's the case (it's not necessary on my unit for anything to "move" to insert a CD....there is just a slot at the top of the unit that you put the CDs into without doing anything else).

So, I guess the AUX is out of the question if you do not order a specific cable. Can somebody confirm if the radio takes SD cards in the MMC slot? Most slots work with both, but this is Becker, so... haha

For the MMC Card....I think it is 2GB or less card. It did not read the 8GB one I tried.
