It seems to me that he is trying to visit his village (my guess somewhere is Asia) to show it to his friends... or he is just lost !!! Curious to know more about this photo...
This is quite a common practice. The cars are brought into Vietnam, then "smuggled" in over the river to China to avoid the high tax and tariffs in China for a new import car. Once in China, they are either tucked away in a collection and rarely brought out...or operated on roads in remote province of China where a "little" extra money to a local official results in "looking" the other way.

You have to give the credit. These guys manage to successfully load, ferry and unload a Lamborghini across a river using boards and blocks. While here in the states a valet manages to damage a car while pulling into a parking space.
