Lamborghini Aventador SV breaks down during tests in Italy

Getting ready for a debut later this year

The Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce has been spied once again while undergoing testing near the city of Modena in Italy.

Interestingly, the prototype appears to be suffering some technical problems as the engine hood is open and the driver is probably making some adjustments or check-ups.

During the last few weeks the Aventador SV was caught on camera several times. The model is expected to feature an updated V12 6.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with more than 720 HP. Chances are the Italian company will reveal the hardcore model during the Geneva Motor Show in March, but there’s also the possibility for a premiere in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

isn't that the purpose of testing it ? To see if things (new, changed) brake down and correct them before getting it in production ?
On the other hand, me thinks the SV is 99% known technology ;)

Castelfranco is very close to the factory so no big deal I think....

Anyone else think the person standing over the car resembles a certain tall blond German that is based in the US and was in Italy recently?

Exactly. And this is why they test. If it was that close to the factory, they were probably testing a specific component. And that could even be a software setup or tune (maybe not since the engine cover is popped).

This kind of this happens to every automotive company. It just does always get caught.
