Hi, I disliked the way aventador looked, but now that its actualy out, it looks real good. Guess the concept didnt look anywhere near as nice. When I look at all the newer lambos, the closest looking one to my favourite Diablo is the Murciellago. The Aventador looks like a slightly more aggressive Murciellago. I think they did a real good job with that car. I always wondered when Lambo will out handle ferrari. The aventador has beat the Enzo. Cool!.

Well, I do have one question, would anybody know the torsional rigidity of the Aventador?

    How stiff is the chasis?

How can one find this out?

35,000 newton-meters per degree of deflection, the Countach was 2,600 newton-meters.

    Wow

    Such a huge difference.

Would the Enzo, Zonda and other like supercars be around that 35k figure?

And the 35k figure is dealing with the chasis itself?

Not sure what it means to you, infact, that question is impossible to answer as I cant read your mind.

Did you mean why am I wondering about this?

I am wanting to get a replica car built of something and I wanted the car to handle as good as the aventador, the car I get built will be running a carbon fibre monocoque but to handle as good, seems torsional rigidity is important, not just suspension. They wanted me to find out how stiff these cars are so we can compare to some degree what they have and thus figure out what else would need doing to achieve a stiff chasis such as these supercars have (Mclaren F1, Aventador, Enzo, Zonda, Koenigsegg)

Athenia, the word was misspelled in the original post, should be spelled "chassis".

It refers to the car's internal frame or modern composite backbone that holds the engine, transmission, and suspension to the wheels.

    More definition is here:

As far as "torsional rigidity", here is a short write-up on why it matters to a car's handling.
