    The US Postal Service has issued a set of stamps with great evocative pictures of an earlier era and the building of America. One of the stamps shows a man working on a radial engine.

    I like the image of the man riding on the hook of a crane. Pre-OSHA, for sure....;>)

    That looks like an early geared P&W.

    I was just waiting for Bob to tell us what the engine was. P&W, Wright or ???

    Looks like a 9 cylinder.

    From looking at that photo there isn't much to go on except for the size of the jugs and they are big enough to be an R1820. Can't see enough of the gear case to identify what engine but it looks close to a Wright. I'm guessing like everyone else.
