Well this is great difference between Europe and the US. Here we have laws according to which every seller must provide an imprint with certain contents on the homepage. In the US, I believe, such an obligation would be in contradiction to the Second Amendment. Thus, all serious companies in Europe have an imprint, and additionally provide their general terms of business, typically also providing for place of court and jurisdiction. If an imprint is missing on the homepage of an European seller, then this is a clear indicator for shady business. Missing general terms would be unusual, because such terms, if present, are typically in favor of the seller. Cheers, Bernhard
100% correct. I made Orlando/La Scuderia Rossa do a paypal transaction for a 10K set of wheels. Of course he screwed me and I was able to get my money back via my credit card company. Paypal said it had been over 90 days so I was on my own... ***Do not deal with this scam artist at La Scuderia Rossa***
I have started legal proceedings against Orlando Vetrano and La Scuderia Rossa. Will keep you all posted on my progress. I will also inform the Ferrari Club Netherlands and suggest you all do the same. Thanks!
I may have some things to add here which I believe will be of help - may I ask that anyone owed money by Mr Vetrano contact me offline please: [email protected] Thanks Julian
Simple really, it's Italy, and there are always people who can help convince this man to apologise and refund you, it just depends on your own position with regard to the culture
I know if this happened in the US it wouldn't be hard to find some "friends" to help you get your money back. I can't believe it would be difficult in Italy.
There is little in my warning to avoid this company that has not been covered before. In my opinion do not do business with him. My order was sent with fake parts and missing high value items and no amount of persuasion could get it sorted. I even tracked the company down and went to Italy, meeting Vetrano myself in person. I angrily demanded my money back as aggressively as I could - I'm a business man not a thug - and I met with many lies and tricks. I will post a few pictures and an example video of the customer service that I met with and why I would not recommend you deal with the man. If you do still wish to deal with him in person then be aware that the correct address for La Scuderia Rossa is often incorrecty printed. The real address is: 21 Via Silius Rome Italy NOT 66 Via Torre Messer Paoli Marino Italy. If you go to the second address there are just some trees. Not sure why this inconsistency exists but at least I cleared that up.
wow ... listening to the recording that guy is really crazy ! not only criminal, but might even be dangerous ... so, seems he`s actually from the UK
Buyer beware!!! Hopefully you paid via credit card and you can dispute the transaction.. Did you really by a Porsche? Classic line in that whole recording..
I did buy a Porsche and I had to delay collecting it by a day because of messing about with mr Vetrano in Rome. Still, I got the 911 now and it is very nice. Not sure why he thought that my buying that car had anything to do with my Challenge Stradale project though - there are plenty of people on here with far more cars than me! Anyway no sadly my transaction was 8900 euros on bank transfer so it's an expensive mistake but these things happen. Hopefully these warnings on here will populate Google enough that people may have more information as to whether they want to deal with LSR or not.
Sorry to hear of your problems with this guy. There are lots of threads on Fchat on this guy. Just a couple of examples. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/silver-subscribed-private-forum-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/387238-beware-la-scuderia-rossa.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/335764-la-scuderia-rossa.html
Thank you for the warning. I would take the recordings to the police. The second recording is a thread. I would take it seriously.
I must be the only guy here who didn't get screwed by this guy while ordering parts. Of course it was a long time ago, perhaps before he honed his skills on the millstone that is Fchat. He's been banned here, reviled here, exposed here, had his sponsor account closed here, and yet, folks still seem to find the time to lose their money to him. WHICH TRULY SUCKS. Perhaps we can convince him to sell maybe Saab parts? At least then, when folks get screwed by him they can all tell us a Saab story. D
Yep - sadly I didn't know about Ferrari Chat forum until after I'd "found him"... This is my first Ferrari. Horse. Stable Door...
He sounds quite drunk. Classy bloke either way. With that attitude you gotta figure that sooner or later he'll get what's coming to him... hopefully sooner. Interesting that he brags that lots of his family members have spent time in jail. Apparently he's proud that he comes from a long line of scofflaws. Like I said, classy bloke.
Sounds like a real tough guy there. More like a blow hard. With 8900 Euros already invested I'd be quite tempted to invest a bit more to see him get the beating he so richly deserves.
I understand but then that makes me no better than he is really. I tracked him down and faced him out as angrily as one could without crossing that line. Other than warning others and proceeding legally that's as much as I'm prepared to do....
What a dumbass.... Amazing how these scammers seem to believe they are in the right side of the argument.... But it does seem like you've scared him..
