Fellas I'd like to get a baseline dyno for my car. Is there a shop in Lft, BTR, or nearby that can dyno a Murcielago? I've seen SO many shops in Cali, TX, and Louisiana have no clue how to strap down anything besides a Mustang to a dyno. Is there a shop around here that would consider the Murci "not a big deal because we've dyno'd so many of them" ? Thanks
If you are willing to travel a little, I would think Houston would be your best bet. I will ask the porsche guys in houston, some of those guys are running upwards of 900hp AWD Why are you getting a baseline? Im hoping the answer is because you are sending the car to UGR for a massive TT build.
I wish! Actually considering an ECU reflash. I'd like to see what I'm putting down now and see if the returns I get are true to the claims along with stock driveability. The place where I'd get the reflash is in Houston. Should I get the reflash AND dyno at the same facility? Hmmmm Prob in a week I'll change my mind and do nothing (again) but I'm really tempted. It's not that pricey and the claims are decent (+20whp/wtq across the midrange). Arrrghhh. Damn addiction!
there is an awd dyno in Baton Rouge, www.corrperformance.com. They have tested exotic cars in the past. You can also go to youtube and check out all the videos of the cars they've tested as well as motorcycles.
Cool, thx for the reference! I've been pointed towards Corr before when I had my 350Z and needed to map a UTEC. I didn't know they had an AWD dyno. I need to go scope out the shop.
One thing is for sure.. after watching a few Corr Performance Utube videos and reading their comments, I wouldn't leave my car with them unattended [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZNUxJq9WjA&NR=1[/ame]
Their level of professionalism (or lack thereof) is what kept me from using them in the past. Is Thunder Racing still in operation? They prob would not have an AWD dyno anyway.
No problem. Yeah, its the only one in the state of LA. They are normally there on the weekends and mostly via appointments. There is also a guy that works there which specializes in Diesels and tuning them as well.
Seems like the owner of that video left his car unattended and they were able to pull out 419whp? Yeah, i guess I wouldn't leave it unattended either so that i could witness my car making that power as well. <shrugs> level of professionalism? They are down to earth guys that take care of their customers as best as they can. Thunder racing is still in operation, yes. do they have an awd dyno, negative.
here are some videos and pictures i found of them working with high end cars... Pana, we get it. You work at or you own Corr Performance.. All we were saying is the jumping around like maniacs yelling and cursing is not typical business practice. Nor are the comments on some of those videos. Based off the only perception we can have of your shop being these internet videos, I would not leave my car unattended. Hopefully I can call on your services one day and you guys have the opportunity to prove me wrong. Regardless, Jayson's porsche is awesome. What kind of AWHP did he put down?
yep, we are excited about what we do. sorry, but that video was with our Own Mechanics and our good friends' car which we sponsor. I guess its hard not to get excited at good results unless you dont enjoy what you're doing. Kind of like when a football player scores a touchdown, they celebrate. They are professionals at what they do yet its different from them and us? I see it as the same thing. I guess different strokes for different folks. We don't ever do that with regular customers. Sure, we dont want our customers to leave their cars unattended either. I wouldn't leave my car unattended at any place unless its going into a body shop. As for Jason's numbers he put down, we can't disclose this information since the customer asked us to be professional and not display this info. You'll have to ask him yourself.
Ya I've never been to Corr. Just heard stuff on various forums. Glad you guys enjoy your job and have a successful thing going. It's a tough business these days. BTW I decided to just get a Vbox. Thanks anyway for everyone's info.
Not a problem. If ever you want to simply test your car on the dyno, let us know and we'll be happy to assist you.
