Personally I really like the blue, then the white and Italian-striped black. The car has such voluptuous lines it looks great in most colors.
Not buying one of these models from me is (kind of?) like not having sex with your Girl Friend so she'll be more desirable to her next Boy Friend.
Jim and next year we will have a model of the Competizione M and it will also be a classic CU the 28th. Vin
Jim, will there ever be a 1:18 P4/5 street version based on your original design from the Enzo layout? Rob
Hawaiian35, if you think that is "EXPENSIVE" check out my website, I have models selling for 100X the value of this 1/18 P4/5C. But seriously, these days most premium 1/18s are in the $300-$500 range like CMC, MR and BBR. You get what you pay for...especially for limited production hand builts.
these models are first class. i bought the one from the race with the driver's signatures, and its a beauty. when considering the cost.....can you make one for that kind of money? no. can you buy one made in china for far less? no. it takes vincent a fair amount of time to design, assemble, and configure these models. the price is fair because of this dedicated work and the fact he deserves to make a margin.
Frankly they're inexpensive. They're very well made. They're limited in number. There are over 100,000,000 web pages on P 4/5 and P 4/5 C. P 4/5 and P 4/5 C are and will continue to be pieces of history. The value of these models one day will likely be a LOT more than Morry sells them for today.
So happy that I got the model of the original car (the one that drove in the first race, the 2011 24H of Nürburgring) with the racing look (CF and the proper stickers that were on the race car that weekend). These do not have the quality of an AutoArt... These are custom made and may have some imperfection or two, but it's all a part of the "hand built" charm IMO Even the model gets attention. It's been more of a conversation starter from non-car enthusiasts than all of my other car models combined (Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari F50 etc.). Non-car people never asked me what kind of cars those were, but everyone's curious about what kind of car this is. And I am alway delighted to tell them about this "one man, one team, one car" fairytale When I bought it I was in doubt too because I thought the price was somewhat expensive, but the money comes back and this opportunity to have something really cool and exclusive does not, so I have no regrets and it still excites me. I even met the maker, Mr. Vincent of BMW43, while the race was going on so that's an extra treat of a memory. Buy them, before they are sold out!
Value is subjective to the uniqueness of the whole project! A tribute to Ferrari-history, imagine P4/5C beating the big manufacturers on their own turf! Am absolutely getting the new race-version in 1:43. If I find the time, I will definately see her race in 2012! Hans
I have got the Nuerburgring Version myself and I'm happy with it. the prize for such a model is ok. Also MR and BBR deliver a better quality I have no reason to bother about the 1/18 model. Only the 1/43 CF Version I would not have bought as it realy looks like a zebra )))
Bumping this thread. Took the model out of the showcase and enjoying it on my desk. It's an awesome piece. Get one for yourselves
