    Today while I was detailing a car I heard the familiar sound of multiple radial engines. I looked up and saw a WWII B-17 flying over head!!!! I can't tell if it was the one we polished, Fuddy Duddy, as it was too high up to tell.

    It was over Pasadena/Monrovia California today at 8:30 am. Anybody know which it was?

    In the last 6 years or so I have seen a number of really neat aircraft in this same area.

    I have seen over the years;

    U2 escorted by two F-16s
    Air Force tanker with boom down zigzagging across the sky
    a B24
    a very fast and low flying P-51
    two Marine Corps ch45s
    about 8 Apache helicopters flying in a column
    6 WWII fighters in formation
    t-6
    skycrane
    b-2 bomber

    That pic is an interesting study in perspective.

    You said you were underneath it looking up. You could also have said you were above it looking down. Can't really tell.

    Yeah, I see what Kds is saying. The plane sorta flips back and forth depending on how you're looking at the pic.

    Uggh......I don't see her- - as if from above. She looks like so many of them did from my vantage point on the ground in Burbank (as a child), when they flew overhead (in groups) on their way "out". So beautiful !! So graceful !!

    Ahhhh............the memories.
