    I saw one fly out of the Vegas airport last Sunday morning. It's beautiful in flight.

    Yep, my Grandpa was one of the many. He strapped one of Rommels BMW motorcycles up in the bomb bay and took it back to Sicily to ride around on. When Ermin Rommel got run out of Africa by Montgomery, (El Alamein) he left a lot of that suff behind that his Afrikakorps used.

    My Grandpa's CO allowed the troops to pick up what they wanted and as long as they registered those bikes with the motor pool they could keep them and ride around Italy and Sicily. He was riding up Mt, Etna when it started spewing lava, scared the crap out of him and his buddy riding on back as they headed back down; "a haulin' buggy" he said...

    He was ferrying one back for overhaul on D-day. It had over a hundred holes in it and one was in his back from that flak shrapnel.
