So I went and saw Babel last night; the new movie with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett... It's two and a half hours long. This is the first movie I've ever seen where I'm still seriously considering going back to the theater and asking for my money back. I've never, not once, gone to a bad movie and then asked for my money back. But this one was just absolutely horrible. Don't read any further if you're still considering seeing the movie. I understand how the actions of some people in the movie affected other people in the movie. That's just how real life is. I was expecting a twist; for the actions to come full circle in some weird, bizarre completion of events. The movie was just 2.5 hours of bad **** that happens to people and how it effects them. That's it. No twist, no plot, just on and on with everyone having a bad day. It was ridiculous; completely pointless. No hot sex, no graphic violence, no deep thoughts (if there was, it was above my 'Jack Handy' head) - just on and on about nothing. Don't waste your money. On a good note, Will Smith is starring in an upcoming movie called Pursuit of Happyness [sic] in which a red 308 GTS appears. Pretty cool.
