Its interesting how different the little ones look from each other. I would have thought in wild ducks the ducklings would all look identical.
Great shots. It will be fun to watch them grown and enjoy your pool. Where do they go when not in the pool? It is that time of year. Went to the lake today and the males were all over the females. What do the dogs think of the duck family?
I think the ducks are living in the rocks behind the waterfall. We have to keep the dogs in the house or on the side of the house. No swimming for the dogs. They're very sad.
at our Univeristy in Florida (UNF) we use to have Geese there......when the baby geese were born we not only had to avoid the landmines they dropped, but if you got too close to the Female and her hatchlings some students got attacked it was hillarious.......

Alright, you guys are killing me. My daughter who's 11 took some of these pictures and has kind of adopted these little guys. So I post these pictures and she asks to see what people are saying. I open the thread and I've got what's left of some birds, a recipe, birds down the drain and open hunting season in Texas. It would be pretty funny if it weren't my kid. She has a pretty good sense of humor, however, I don't think she'll be inviting you guys over to see her ducks anytime soon. LOL
This thread reminds me of the first season of the Sopranos, where Tony grew fond of the ducks living in his pool and cries when they fly away, and his psychologist tells him he's got anxiety issues over his wife and kids "leaving the nest"
there are 2 ducks that come to my house every day. they wait for me at the back of my house, 1 male and 1 female, i give them duck feed. when they see me come out the door with there little ducky cup full of ducky morsals they come running over to me and then they shlt on my neighbors driveway. my neighbors call me tony soprano.
