    Hi everyone....Possibly in the market for a 612 and wondering if anyone has had luck finding a US DOT approved car seat the back the of the 612.....What about a rear facing for a child under 2? I know there is a previous post about this, but no one really had a solid answer.

    ps...and please lets not turn this into a debate on safety for children in a 612.....I am not taking them on the track for pete's sake!!!

    I use the Recaro ProRide with my son in my 612. Works and fits great! Also, extremely safe!

    and do you know what age a child can be in the seat you are talking about?

    If you email them they will send you and insert for free that allows you to use it at 5 lbs (I believe). I ordered ours from Amazon. Make sure you email recaro's child seat website for the insert.

    thanks to all...and has anyone had luck with a rear facing seat in the back of a 612? If so, can someone still sit in the front seat as well or is the seat so pushed up it does not work?

    my recaro works. My wife can sit in front of the baby seat. I cannot. My wife is 5'5, 105 lbs.
