    Hi all,

Still trying to get caught up after the week in France and England; had a great time despite the fact that it rained a BUNCH... at least we found high ground for our campsite. Needless to say the French were there by the 1000's cheering on the Peugeots, but they never were a real threat to the Audis, even after 2 of them crashed out. Biggest surprise: all 6 Aston Martins finished the race! Impressive, since they're usually plagued with the "21-hour" curse. The historics running prior to the 24 were awesome; some of those guys were running them like like they were meant to be, and the variety of machines was unbelievable. Then on to Silverstone for F1 testing; too bad we were only there Tuesday - most of the "names" showed up for Wednesday and Thursday after we'd left. Wish I could be back there for the British GP in July.

Anyway, here's a couple of pics from the journey... sorry mods if the umbrella pic isn't quite PC... it was appropriate at the time, and we got a good laugh.

Hope to make the dinner on the 5th... will RSVP soon.

Griff, glad to see you made it back safely. Fantastic photos, looks like you had a great time. I just do not think I could have handled 6 men in a 12 foot motor home for even one night.

Ha ha... fortunately I was one of 3 who slept in a 6-man tent, so there was room to spare, it was dry (enough), and with a sleeping bag/cot combo I actually slept pretty well when the opportunity presented itself. It was nice to get to the hotel Sunday night though :)

Well my actual point is that I would not even want to be one of any number of men in a tent.
