Well, I’m back after spending nine days in the most beautiful place on earth. St John, USVI. We flew to St Thomas on Sunday the 11th, took the ferry to St John on Monday, and got our rental Jeep Liberty and the keys to our villa. On Tuesday our families came in on the Carnival Cruise and watched us get married and then left that day to sail the rest of the week. We stayed till Monday afternoon. I have way too many stories to tell but I ended taking about 10gigs of photos that’s I’m sifting through and editing so as soon as I get them up on my website I’ll let ya’ll know.

All I have to say is that there is something very magical about being in the most beautiful place in the world with the person who not only will you love the rest of your life, but is also your best friend. God has truly blessed me and though I don’t deserve all that I have I think Him every day for it.

I’ll keep you posted on the pics.

Lol, the pics are coming! Just got a new computer and have to load photoshop on it.

For those that care, I shot in RAW and am using RawShooter Essentials 2005 to take the RAWs into Tiffs. Then I will load the Tiff into PS and do my final edits. Then save into JPG for the web and you'll be seeing pics hopefully over the weekend.

Well there was only one of those nudie beaches and we didn't go to it for two reasons. First, the only person I want to see naked is my wife. Second, from what we could gather it's only age 60+ on that beach.

St John is nice. But, Savannah Beach on Virgin Gorda in the BVIs is absolutely beautiful and a lot less tourist to contend with. My wife and I will be sailing in the BVIs from 12-30-05 through 1-8-06, spending New Years Eve at Foxy's on Jost van Dyke . Next time you plan to go on a Caribbean trip, try the BVIs...you'll never go back to the USVIs again!

LOL - Foxy's!! My wife still wears a baseball hat from there. I will try and post some pictures from there - great place. Supposedly New Years at Foxy's has a ton of hi-rollers parking there yachts out front, and is a blast............

That is correct. Sir Richard Branson, Keith Richards and Kenny Chesney are a few celebrities that have been known to drop in at Foxy's for the New Years Eve party...We're staying at Ivan's that night which is just down the only road on the island from Foxy's. www.b-v-i.com/JostVanDyke/default.htm#Foxy's%20Tamarind%20Bar

thnx for posting the pics. Must be one of those gotta' be there in person to appreciate things. From the pics my first thought is...."and how is that different from any other open air bar in the Caribbean?"

Yup; just a cool place with a lot of character. It's not a cookie-cutter Applebee's place!

Undoubtedly a classic case of being unable to capture a place's character with a camera.
One of my fav local hangouts looks like a dump from the outside and not much better inside but man, it’s a classic neighborhood bar….

Foxy's also has an inside and upstairs part that is not seen in that photo. That being said, it's not that it is some type of luxury resort bar, just the opposite...it is a hole in the wall kinda place that has been attracting the rich and famous(mostly from the UK) and yachties for years...more so for the beauty of the beach and island, Foxy himself www.foxysbar.com, the food and the place to see and be seen that it has become, especially on New Years Eve, than the structure itself. For the nights of12-30 and 12-31 will will be staying in VERY rustic cabins at Ivans www.caribbeancruisingclub.com/Ivan/index.html which only recentlt added hot water in the showers...before you had a large plastic bag that you laid in the sun to heat the water for a shower. It is really a wonderful place to go to get away from everything...
