After owning 14 Ferraris over the last nearly 30 years, seeking more power, advancement in technology and performance, etc. , I realize why I feel as if they are missing something.

For all of the advancements over the last 3 decades, I now really want to get back to a more analogue experience. I had an 86 tr, a 92 512 TR and a 95 M. All about 20 years ago.

My F12 is amazing, but can’t use 7/10ths of its performance. Have had other amazing F cars, but the 512 stands above the others in every way. Fast enough, visceral, amazing sound, involving in ways my more modern Ferraris are not, at least for me.

Looking for a nice example now and hope to be a 512 TR owner again very soon.

You are not alone. Many have gone back to an earlier car after coming to terms with the idea, speed, horsepower, technology does not equal fun.
Using 30% of a cars capabilities is not as much fun as using 80%.

Or said another way. Its more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

and you have picked the right target !

we have a lot of cars. many of them are great, some are ridiculously valuable, but my favorite car of all is the 92 512tr i bought in Rome 24 years ago, run through 7 countries, bought the luggage for, and that my wife likes to travel in,

it is now undergoing a more extensive rehab and i will hopefully have it back soon.
    i have missed it.
it is the perfect intersection of low tech, iconic design, poise, presence, power, and performance.
