Don't think it'll happen. Ferrari have issues abandoning the V12's, I can't imagine them having V6's as the only option on their mid engined breadwinning car.

I cannot imagine this. At least not yet. To me, the biggest gap between the 458 and the McLaren MP4 is the sound and overall experience of the 458. That V8 sounds like nothing else (V8-wise) at 9000 RPMs. The McLaren sounds like just another sports car, with its turbo V8. I just can't imagine a Ferrari that doesn't sound that good.

I'd be less surprised to see a KERS V8 before a turbo V6.

It'll be interesting to see which route they take. F1 has gone through a turbo era and will again soon. If they want to tap into that F1 technology, then we may very well see a turbo V6...the LaFerrari already has the KERs.

I also have memories of my Biturbo E...some not so fond. Still, an interesting car. 2.5 liter V6, twin turbo, 3 valve, blow through carburetor...how could it not be interesting?
