Has anyone had an issue with the battery lines on a 348? I think mine are causing starting issues after the car sits for over a week. They look pretty rough but I have not had time to check for voltage drop. Has anyone cut hte end off them and reconnected the wires or should I just buy new?

I would probably buy new ones if it looks like any corrosion has migrated up into the insulation. You can slit the insulation lenghtwise about 1 inch back from the teminal end. If there is corrosion, replace them.

A voltage drop check is key to any starting problem. A voltage drop of more than 2 volts is excessive. Be sure and check the drop on the ground side of the starter also.

    good luck
