I'll add that when using an iPhone or iPad, you can only post one photo per post as these devices name the photos "image1" and if your try to do more than one photo per post, the file names will overwrite each other...

I will take photos with my phone and download them to my computer (my phone is not that "smart"). I'll forward to Fchat from my computer.

That works just fine also. Use the same instructions I wrote for posting them from the attach files point on.

The pics show both the male connector on my original speedometer sending unit (new one is identical) and the female connector of the rear bumper side light (identical to the female speedometer connector). The 2 in my hand are of the little piece that snaps out of the top of the connectors that only appears to align the wires. It does not release them. It is not clear to me how to remove the wires either.

Bob, I don't think it matches the video about removing the wires you attached earlier. I don't see any access through the connection end to reach up inside and release something.

    Jerry,

That is a Metripak 150, order them here:

    Metri-Pack 150

That's the same connector that is on the TR and 348 Thermocouples. I have the males here but not the female that you need.

Here's a little vid of the pins and housing. It's the same principle as the amp type that I did the other vid on.

There are four parts to the complete connector. The housing, The pins, the seals and the clip at the back.

If you want to just order one of those Fou pieces then you can do it that way The link I posted was 2.95 for all 4 components as a complete connector. Check the shipping charges as well

I would buy a few spare pins/sockets, too. Sometimes the crimping tools don't always do what you want them to do :p

Thanks Bob. I really appreciate the help. I just ordered a complete female connector, several extra sockets to practice on and a crimp tool from your link. Hopefully this will solve my problem.

Great Jerry. I don't know what crimp tool you got but here is a vid on how I crimp that same pin on 348 Thermocouples. I got that tool from Joe as well and as you can see, it does a nice job.

What's the brand of that crimp tool? He mentions it in the video but I can't understand him.

The one I bought is on the website link Bob listed telling where to get the connectors. It was around $32.
