I am really sorry to hear about your father. As for the car, finish it and drive it in good health as a tribute to your father. It will be hard to do but if it were my father that is what he would have wanted. Be strong.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. That sucks.

I would like to offer a suggestion. When my wife's dad passed away unexpectantly we did something that made a lasting impression and maybe you can do the same thing to venerate your dad's memory. We had gathered in a large hall with friends and family and silence. I filled that silence by getting people to stand up and tell a funny story or just something they wanted to share about my wifes dad. Video tape it and remember the good times. You can than use that to share with your children should you chose to go that route. My wife's dad's passing was one of the reasons we had kids, he would have wanted that.

    My thoughts to your family.

Wow..what an amazing bunch of people...I am so thankful to find a forum like this with all these great people. I am going to have the car finished being painted..and cleaned up..and garage it. I will drive it on weekends like he did..and I will NEVER sell the car. That's something we both shared and loved. Once again, thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it.

    Thank You So Much

    Brian,

Sorry to hear this, very sad news indeed. Take some solace in the fact that your dad was around to see your start your business and move into a shop, he knew his kids were growing up right. The car should be finished and will be your dads last gift to you, I think; thats fitting. I am sure he would want you to enjoy it as much as he did.

Spend time with your family and pull through together. You can't live unless you die, unfortunately some are sooner than others. Two great children and a loving wife are a good legacy. Talk about the good times with your family and remember your dad fondly.
