    Brian, I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss.

    Like Bill said, a lot of things will come to you in the next few days... family will share stories about your dad and such. If I could suggest you get a little journal and record your own feelings and thoughts, and as many stories as you can from family members.

    Thank you so much to everyone who is replying in this thread.. This is such a wonderful thing. He is? was such a great guy to everyone who knew him.. Now the bills are piling up :( 10k for the fun....al I dont want to say it..but you get the idea...its a scary scary time for us here. But, I just wanted to tell you guys how happy we are that everyone is sending their prayers and condolences. It's amazing...thank you so much!!!

    I like the idea of gathering everyone together and sharing your favorite story/memory about your father.

    Being 23, I can only imagine what you're going through. My sincerest condolensces. Everyone deals with things differently, but I'm sure you and your family will stay strong knowing that he is still above and within you, your brother and your sister.

    Very sad. Don't make any hasty decisions, beyond what you have to do. Grieving takes time. There are no short cuts. Don't hold back. Just take it one step at a time and don't worry about bs issues like cars and such. Just keep your dad alive in your memories.

    Condolences to you and your family. It sounds like you two had a great bond, being car enthusiasts as well as father and son. Even in the hardest times, I guess we have to focus on the real blessings - and a great relationship with your dad is absolutely one of those.

    (Oh - and I agree with the others: cherish his Porsche, and don't make any big decisions until you've had time to come to terms with everything. Everything else is less important than honoring your father and gathering your own thoughts.)

    So sad to hear. Sending my condolences you way. Your dad's legacy (you and your brother and sister) will honor your father by leading happy lives. he will be there in spirit when you celebrate the opening of your shop and he will also be with you when the times are not as happy. Try to set aside some of the deep sadness and really celebrate his life. He obviously had a very loving family. What a lucky man. A life certainly well worth celebrating.

    Once again, thank you sooooooooooooooo much for everyone's thoughts and prayers...I think its finally hitting me...we got the viewing Wed and Thurs this week, and then the ...f....al on Friday....I still can't believe this is happening...I had to make 2 4 x 8 signs for a jewlery store, and he is the one who always helped me..it is taking me such a long time to complete them. It's sooo hard...I just dont have the energy..he used to help me with them..and now...i gotta do them on my own..and it's just hard.. :'(

    once again, thank you so much to everyone...
