Sun's out, weather's mild, both cars are happy. But, no worries, I found something to complain about.

I'm not an advocate of buying a car based on the photos, but there are some common things that irk me.

1a. Driver's seat bolster is a key wear point in any Ferrari -- so a photo that obscures that is enough to have me banging my head on the keyboard. What's the point? If the car moves, maybe park it so the sun glare doesn't fall right on that one spot. (See attached as an example. FYI, photo is from a top-notch dealer. I'm complaining about the photography, not impugning their honesty.)

1b. Photo of the passenger seat only: it's like passing around a photo of the back of a girl's head to the guy you're trying to set her up with.

    2. No engine bay photo: These are Ferraris. Most prospective buyers are going to want to see the engine. You could argue that the engine is the whole point of a Ferrari. Maybe some guys don't know how the bonnet opens.

    3. Red cars photographed in bright sun: they always look orange, or some other indeterminate color. If you're that bad a photographer, maybe just post a line drawing of the car.

    4. Photos of the Ferrari badges/emblems all over the car: We get it. It's a Ferrari. Of all the major factors that go into the value/condition of a car for sale, the prettiness of the badges isn't a huge one. (Maybe locate the engine instead... see #2)

    5. In-N-Out burger cup or bag in the car: we don't need a $500 concours detail job for the photos, but if you really can't be bothered to remove the fast food junk from the passenger seat it inspires less confidence in your initiative when it comes to tracking down odd noises from the engine bay or strange fluids under the car.

Good lord, Bullfighter, your list is tiny! You must've really held back because there are a lot more I could add. For example, multiple shots of the same side...c'mon people, edit the damn digital pictures! Just because you took 12 billion pictures doesn't mean you have to upload...every...single...one...!

Am I the only one seeing only one picture? I agree with all that is said, just curious because of the "see picture two".

Y'know, the lack of photos might be attributable to a half-hearted attempt to sell the car by the seller. There's nothing wrong in telling the wife, "Honey, I listed the car but nobody wanted to come see it. Looks like we'll have to keep it..." :)

Truth be told, there's only one way to display an In-N-Out burger in a 550 with confidence! ;)

I think he is making a generalized statement about alot of ads that are just as he described, not just this one in particular....I can;t count how many times I have saw stuff on Ebay for sale and not sell. I will sell the exact item a week later with good pics and a nice description and it sells fine....It is all about presentation and making the buyer want to buy your product...
