Ok guys - listen to this. The weekend could have been better for my satin car cover. Saturday morning I walk down to the garage and GASP! A huge wet spot on top of the front bonnet on my 308 - one of our cats sneaked into the garage and urinated - yes, right on top of my 308! What the??

I quickly cleaned everything up, detailed the car - no harm. The satin cover went into a wash machine. (I have washed it before w. no problems. If you have one, use an overzied wash machine so the cover has plenty of room in there while being washed).

Well, here' sthe kicker. I left the cover in the wash machine for a few hours so it can dry up and then I can just put it on my car while still a bit damp. But ... NOOOO ... my dear wife threw it into the dryer on full heat and the damn Horsie now is slightly peeling off.

    Damn it.

(Well as a band aid, my wife offered that she'll just buy a new one which I thought was more than nice. But, not necessary)

    So lessons here:

No Cats in the garage - ever.
Ok to wash the satin cover in cold water with some detergent.
NEVER dry it in a dryer.

Try a hot iron and a piece of linen or sheet between iron and horsey and it may re stick itself.
