Do the average people find the fender badge to be "showing off"?

Does a car without one seem slightly more modest if any F-car can be modest?

IMO you need the fender shield.

I don't like them on cars which never offered them. I would never spend money to have them on my car. I don't get the shields, but many people love them. To each his own.

My 1st two Ferraris (328, 512 BBi) did not come with the shields. My current Ferrari (612) does. I bought them all used, so I had no choice in the matter.

I used to think those shields were for the "race-spec" cars only, but now it has become a seemingly mandatory option. (I cannot remember seeing a modern Ferrari without one).

Regardless, quite a while back, I acquired a NART shield (see pic). Not sure which car it came off of, but it has two pins on the back and slightly curved as if it belonged on a fender or hood. Maybe I can start a new trend. :)

I would love to find a NART pin or even sticker to put on my car. I think it would be a great conversation piece.

    Black Bart's Emporium has them.

The NART sticker has been on the fender since the early 60s.

The first hard badge was on the back of the Daytona Comp models, IIRC.

Now, we all know that you should only put one badge on the right side and leave the other side without, right? That is how Enzo did it, correct?

    A Ferrari w/o a shield is like a day w/o sunshine.

On the odd numbered models, you are correct. But the even numbered models have the shield (one only) on the left. Hence, 330's in the left, 365's on the right.

(Naturally, this was reversed during Leap Years.)
