So why using this low medium rear wing since Fiorano first kilometers ?
Something is going on with the final package to my opinion..

Russell's soft runs weren't impressive, atleast timewise. Leclerc's C2 and C3 runs were way more impressive.

yup agree. F1TV mentioned the times are good ''for the time of the day'' but when Leclerc and Max did their laps yesterday on the harder tyres, the temps are practically identical.

Leclerc first run on the same tyre, looking much better.

EDIT: NOT the same tyre, one step harder than Russell

Red Bull saying they expect strong competition from Ferrari, praising their engine specifically.

Yea, Ferrari seems to have straight line speed back. Charles 1:31.0 on C4, pole was 1:30.5 last year

I think today's running is very encouraging for Ferrari. Whilst the new rear wing broke, Lec has set his and THE fastest lap on the 2nd softest tyre...

Ferrari strill struggling with rears on longer runs.

Hope it's not another repeat of post TD39 last year when they where still quick in quali but once the tyres hit the cliff (all too quickly) it was game over...

Long runs being done with the “old” (not broken) low DF wing, yes?

Also, race is later in the day that now. Hopefully they took that into consideration for the set up of the car.

Hopefully Ferrari can get the new wing working—if only a DRS issue—so Sainz can use it during the more representative later race sim.

They’ll probably still be behind the RB—or maybe not since Max is done, yes? :p—but at least we’ll know more or less how far behind the reds are.

Also hopefully, maybe they’ll bring some updates to the floor edges for the race since this floor seems quite simple in design.

F1 Data Analysis on Twitter: "The '22 contenders! Ferrari had excellent straight-line speed thanks to the low-df wing; no sign of high PU-modes as it only gained in the most drag-sensitive part of the straights (the end) RB19 had plenty of grip W14 already higher on power? Gaining at straight start #F1 https://t.co/ohZ5kDJJ9z" / Twitter

This looks like opposite land from last year :p

Merc seemingly on high power modes already....

English press now reporting Mercedes has held a crisis meeting with their drivers regarding the lack of performance from the car last night.

This is either world class sand bagging or they're in the ****s again.

From what I've seen so far, the car just isn't going to be a challenger. Unless they're running very heavy all day which I doubt is the case.

If this is the case, it's the last year for Lewis I'm sure. No sense for Mercedes to pay for a huge salary if they can't give him a car to get the results. The piss poor mclaren may just force their hand actually, Norris has the perfect GTFO card where he can leave Mclaren for them breaching contract, and Mercedes would be absolute fools not to snatch him up whilst they actually can, for a fraction of what they're paying Lewis.

What did Ron Denis say? Something like: “There are no points awarded during the winter testing championship.” Unfortunately we don’t have much winter testing anymore but a pre race test.

If Ferrari can achieve reliability and not blow their strategy all season long, it could be exciting and competitive.

Unreliability, grid penalties and accidents could play a significant factor for everyone.
