Bahrain F1 attack stopped ?

Listening to a Boston based sports talk (93.7) show this morning and the hosts mentioned that the Bahrain security forces confiscated a cache of weapons including a thousand petrol bombs that were going to be used to attack the F1 race while under way... No mention of arrests or terrorism suspects, yet.
I have heard nothing since, anyone else hear this ?
The stands looked somewhat empty from the air shots so was security particually tight this year ?
I wonder if the race teams were informed if this was indeed true...
Again it was only this station and I have not researched further.
