What city are you in? You could check the appropriate regional F-chat forum to see if there is a F1 viewing party scheduled? Or at least someone can point you to a bar or other viewing spot...

I've never been to a hotel or motel that has had speed channel...
good luck watching it live. F1 coverage sucks in america.
Maybe u can go to the frontdesk or watnot and ask to order speed channel for just one day.

The suggestion about checking regional forums for a viewing party was a good one.

Few hotels have speed channel. But many have internet.

When I was in a hotel during relocation last year, I had to rely on live web coverage such as http://www.sportinglife.com/formula1/news/ and BBC online

There are others, but they require subscriptions.
(Which wasn't an option for me during the relo, as my MA bank was in the middle of a merger -- ironically with my VA bank.)

I don't know of any F1 sites that run streaming video over the web, but there may be some. Try google.

After all, if there are webcam sites for "Debby in her Diaper", ... ;)
But likely the licencing fees for the F1 live video would be too high to make web transmissions viable -- at least, until FiOS bandwidths get a larger install base.

And your hotel may only have 1.5M total link speed anyway, so live video may be right out.

In '99 I was staying at a small motel in Wisconsin and was stunned when I found that they had Speed Channel! Then I remembered I was about 5 miles from Road America.

Speed TV is actually at most motels/hotels around here, but then this is NASCAR country. They are carrying practice, qualifying and the race all live with a replay of the race Sunday afternoon.

Disagree, SPEED overall sucks, but their F1 coverage is excellent.
