Can a low millage Balboni (or 09-10 LP560-4) be purchased around 150K at the end of 2011? Right now the prices are around 180K.

Being full on in the hunt for a 09+ Gallardo at the moment, and with your low miles stipulation (I figure that means under 3-4k), I'll guess you'll be able to get a Balboni but not a 560-4. Also color will be critical to achieving that price.

With some '09 560's in the low $170's now I would'nt be suprised if there were several available in the high $150's. Each month the prices drop and the supply far outweighs the demand for it to balance out anytime soon. Check out car.s.com and see how many are for sale now then go back in a month and see where the number is .

There are FOUR Balboni's for sale. $188k is the lowest priced one. I think you might be confusing Balboni's with SCUDERIAS....

They're both sister sites :D I am talking about sold prices not asking prices.

Actually there is one for below 180K. And there more than four for sale. So research better before you comment.

He just bought one two weeks ago so has already done a ton of research, The $169k car was'nt around when he was looking. Also he was looking at brand new cars which is sure what he was quoting. Any brand new Balboni for sale can be had for around $190k or less. The blue one for $169k sold, LoD has one they are asking $169k on but it has some miles. That car could be had for a great price if it is the color and options you want. If it were me I would'nt worry about miles at all on these cars unless it was 20k or more and I planned on putting a ton on myself.

O.K. ....but, how do you know exactly what price a car sold for, unless you are the 'actual' purchaser or seller of the vehicle; I'm confused.

Porsche racer makes a good point that the gap in knowledge between asking and selling seems really wide. Some of you seem tuned in much better and anything you could do to help those of us with checkbook in hand would help.

I wonder how low that stick white Balboni in Chicago would really be? Neat ride potentially but not a daily driver (which is my search). The orange 560-4 in Dallas with 13k miles seems like the lowest priced car out there at the moment and its been in service long enough that you could certify even if you wanted the extra protection. I'd imagine that if you want new the yellow Balboni in Newport would be the best priced car out there if you went in ready to buy. Seems the new white 09 560-4 in Manhattan should be the lowest new of that model.

Thanks Craig for a good quote. These are very good leads. I also got some good contact info from Larry (murcimurci). Right now, we are in buyer's market. The prices are dropping evenly between Ferraris and Lambo's. A 04 360 is the same as 04 G. And an 08 430 is the same as 08 G.(IMO)
And BJ, I know you just got your car, and you got a descent price too, however, you know it and I know it that the prices are changing everyday. Some of you know better about the changes and done allot of research. We are here to help and advise each other.

It may be a buyer's market (especially at this time of year) however, you have to take into account that Lamborghini has not sold very many LP560's in the U.S. due to the economic situation (IT SIMPLY IS NOT the same as it was back in 2004/2005/2006); therefore, there are not THAT MANY used cars available to re-sell. And of those cars out there currently, a lot of the cars being offered are the 'dealer demos' and 'press cars' that were beat to **** by all the folks who tested them. Finding a bargain on a nicely taken care of example, by a respectful owner, is a whole different 'ball of wax'.

(Notice how many White and Black ones (the sample/demo cars*) that are for sale ??)
    * there were some other colors built as part of the demo group, but most were black or white.

There are a literal cr*p load of white 560-4's out there (with in-service dates and asking prices all over the map)!

White is my first choice for LP560's and black for Balboni's.

    porsche racer,
Then you are in luck; just have the thing checked very carefully for any abuse. I know when I test drove one I beat the living 'pee-wee' out of it.

    "Problem solved"....... not really. ;)
#1 I prefer the all wheel drive system (LP560-4) although you WILL find a great deal of (on line) fawning over the 2wd (LP550-2) version of the car; it is just not as fast, nor does it have the superior roadholding that the all wheel drive LP560-4 encompasses {skidpad: .93g (LP550-2) vs. .99g (LP560-4)} :D

#2 You have just countermanded your own suggestion that a Balboni can be had for the high $150's . Houston's orange LP550 (stk.#H878) has a price of $212,000. Yes it's a MY'11 (LP550) but I doubt that the MY'10 LP550 (aka Balboni) can be had for your previously suggested price range of high $150's ( IOW .... 60 thousand dollars LESS !) :D

#3 I presently have a manual transmission LP560-4 in a very arresting (if I don't say so myself) out of range color, and have no interest in another purchase at this point in time. :D

The $150k Balboni is what he wanted next year, not right now....Brand new Balboni's are high $180's right now....The brand new 2011 LP550-2 has a MSRP of $212k but can be bought for less. Used 2011 LP550-2s will be sold for about $20k more than 2010 Balboni's on the pre-owned market. Right now there is $10k-$20k difference in price depending on the msrp of 550-2, $20k diff being on a $225k msrp 550-2.
