    Ok here's the thread.

Twice now I've found a 1/4" ball bearing on the drivers mat directly beneath the steering column, they've both been dark grey with no evidence of grease on them. Any ideas what maybe about to fall apart

they fall out of your seat tracks as the tracks wear .

Does this effect the safety of the seat in the event of an accident? I.E., lose enough bearings can the seat come off the track?

Ohhhh thats a relief!! Thanks but I can get some balls no problem.
I can tell you the throttle pedal assembly doesn't use ball bearings as I replaced mine recently. In fact I have a pair of plain swivel bearings
    spare if anyone needs them.
