    Just came across this video...

Might as well use this thread for spoilers too given the relative lack of interest here in IndyCars.

There are some really tight turns in there. Turn 1 on starts/restarts is going to be messy. Same for Turn 2 & 3 when drivers try to out break one another. There are other tight spots were I can't see cars surviving 2-wide.

My fingers are crossed for a good race.

The ALMS race is going to be nuts on Sat.

I like how the video says it is a "little bumpy". I drove down Pratt St. (front straight) the other day and it was rough in a luxury car..

interesting that I've never heard of the company that made that simulation software.

at any rate, I'm looking forward to the race, important market for Indycars (Baltimore/DC is HUGE, and has a LOT of money in it), and first times at street circuits are usually pretty...entertaining ;)

btw, is pit lane on the back of the circuit? looks that way from the video.

Sort of, depends on how you define 'back'. Checkout the track map on indycar.com; pit lane entrance is at the end of the back straight and pits are a 90 degree left from there.

Exactly. It is a lock these guys will be idiots and take out a number of cars on the first lap...
Wish I could be there but too many other things going on...have fun up there guys, and I will see you next year - don't plant your cars in a wall having a fun lap around the track. I will DVR it and watch the race.

Actually looking forward to the ALMS race more - maybe I can sneak up on SAT...

The sound of those cars echoing off the buildings should be amazing. The race starts at 4pm I believe. It will be worth the trip of you can make it.

Does anyone know if this race is going to be televised?

Just got back from spending about 9 hours at the track today. It was great! It was also packed which was great to see. Hopefully that means that the event will continue. I must say that I was very skeptical when the race was first announced.

In case you all aren't aware already, they had to add a chicane on the front straight because the Light Rail tracks were still too rough. Had to get them slowed down some on the straight..

Can't wait to go back for more tomorrow!

    Cool, great to hear.

I got caught up in football fever and forgot about the race. I'll watch the delayed broadcast tomorrow but I did see the results, ugh.

Watching Indy Lights race and cheering for the old man Willy T Ribbs. He had no qualifying time and starting last; if I heard correctly he didn't even practice b/c of weather.

Announcers saying that all 75K seats are sold; great news.

Willy T returns and event sells out? Coincidence, I think not. :D

Also watching the Indy Lights race. This track is too bumpy. I mean, there's bumpy, and there's TOO BUMPY. Dumb place to race.

Also, the cars that are spinning out on blind corners, then darting back onto the racing line.... looks like a recipe for disaster. Dumb place to race.

Did Robin Miller just say "bullsh*t" as he was jogging down the grid?

As the area the truck dove into could easily have had race traffic that couldn't make the corner all cars had an equal opportunity to end up underneath a "Safety" Truck. A slight bobble in turn 1 could've become fatal because some bonehead gave the wrong permission (exactly what happened to the tripping marshall in Montreal). They could've waved off the start, but then the wrath of G. Rahal would have another issue to whine about.

My buddy Scott is out in the garage putting brakes on one of the cars. He crewed an Indy Lights team at Baltimore. He has crewed Lights and Atlantic teams for years. He thought it was a great event.
