Have any of you heard about this industrial chemical, dihydrogen monoxide? It seems like it's being used everywhere nowadays, but we don't hear anything about it from the government or the media. It's been implicated in hundreds, perhaps thousands of deaths in the past several years, but is still being used and consumed in vast quantities by the US and other industrialized nations. This website, http://www.dhmo.org, has more information.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been much of a stink about it recently - evidence suggests that the hurricanes which struck Florida earlier this year owed 50% or more of their strength to the effects of DHMO present in the atmosphere.

    What do you guys think?

I’m rather surprised that web site didn’t mention the Starbucks, Evian (Groupe Danone), and San Pellegrino connections.

Well funded indeed. It will never be banned due to strong political connections.

So it's used in some places as a gas, a liquid and a solid; but they don't say how... How are atheletes ingesting this stuff...? How is it used in baby food...? How does it, as a gas, make it into the atmosphere and affect weather...?

"by the Church of Scientology on their members and their members' families (although surprisingly, many members recently have contacted DHMo_Org to vehemently deny such use),
by both the KKK and the NAACP during rallies and marches,
by pedophiles and pornographers (for uses we'd rather not say here),
by the clientele at a number of homosexual bath houses in"

I cannot support a ban on it until they tell me how pedophiles and pornographers use it

I've been clean of the stuff (in its pure form) for a good while now.
Sometimes it's hard to keep away, the stuff is everywhere.

My family is addicted, and they keep trying to get me to keep using.
    What can I do? :/

There are a number of de-toxifiers on the market. All rely on the same principle...additives to DHMO to help wean the body from the pure stuff. Detoxifiers usually consist of simple carbohydrates, yeast, grains, etc.

I find the European forms better suited to their purpose; although US brands are improving.
