I'm replacing all fuel lines in my QV - long overdue. I'm getting the plastic lines from Verell, unfortunately he's out of barb insertion tools - http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/137520606-post14.html. If anyone has that tool left from a project and willing to sell or loan it to me please PM me. Thanks in advance.

Made mine out of oak 1 x2 that held the tubing firm to allow me to push in the metal parts Two step hole. Worked like a charm.

Have to do this project as well. Purchased all the parts from Verell last year, just been too lazy to build the tool. Really need to work on applying myself! :)

I clamped small pieces of one by two together. And I drilled a hole in the center line across the grain smaller than the size of the tube that I was using. Then I drilled the second hole only about a half inch deep. That size is just bigger then the barb od. This hole prevent wobble. I was able to put both hose sizes in the same jig. The largest hose size was easy by hand for me. Hope this was helpful. Wayne
