well, with the help of the departing henrik larrson, not to mention e'oto and ronaldinho, barcelona was crowned euro champs. should have seen the look on wenger's face after the full time whistle. his excuse? barca's 1st goal was actually offside...
    bravo barca!

IMO, It wasn't really an excellent match as often happens on the finals but was intense and both teams deserved the vistory. Arsenal team is young, disciplinated and strong, and T.Henry the best player on the lawn. However Barça is perhaps the best package around today. Has won the Spanish league by far and has eliminated Milan, Chelsea, Porto... before to meet the "gunners". I agree the referee wasn't at the level of the match. The equaliser goal of Eto'o is debatable as is the goal annulated to Giuly. Sending the goalkeeper home, spoiled the fair match the real followers of both teams were looking for.
Hope to meet again next season

well, i gotta agree with the fact the if lehmann had stayed, it would probably forced the matc into extra time. manuel looked nervous between the gunner's post

Yes im an arsenal fan and of course very dissapointed that we lost but its not only arsenal fans saying the ref ruined the game, so im not bitter just disolussioned.Henry though is staying with us because he didnt like the negativity of barca, and i have to say i agree, looking to get ref decisions instead of looking to play the game, but thats sadly the way the game is played in continental Europe.

Fully understand your disapointment. English Soccer is IMO, the best of Europe, no doubt. Players are strong, incisive and quick. They play as Soccer has to i.e. devoid of any speculation.
Winning one single match doesn't mean be the best. It means you has won just a match.
Hopefully the rumored futureo European League will show the actual level of everyone.
WTW: Congratulations for keeping TH for next four seasons. Further to an outstanding player, he has shown some quite rare on nowadays professional sport:Be a sensible person and a true gentleman.
