I do know those guys and girls work v hard, but something cant be right there. Shame as I'd like to see them do well. IS not actual track time V important for all the obvious reasons; so what could have gone wrong to miss track time?
Now they're saying the testing starts in the morning, but the live streaming starts at 1 p.m. UK time. What?
So now they really should bump Latifi off the testing and give their 'new' drivers a proper start. No doubt Paps Latifi has contracts etc in place stating exactly what the boy will be doing this year.
Not too bad a start for Kimi ,second behind Vettel ,but now Vettel moving into the low 1:19 's about 1.5 secs faster ...oh well.
Vettel already breaks the track lap record of Danny Ric with a 1:18.425. Ok a long way to go but this is a pretty good start to day 1 testing.
encouraging. Someone refresh my memory...did Ric have a late stop last year? fastest lap set on lap 61 last year 1.18.441. if he was on reasonably fresh tyres (fuel load obviously low with 6 laps tops in there) that's a great time.
Try the live timing link earlier .plus the autosport and sky links. The real live tv starts in about 1.5 hours
The below nicely put by Sky Sports A very handy start for Ferrari It's way too early to read anything significant into Ferrari's fast start but the current headline news is that Vettel has currently completed more laps than any driver and his best lap time is a second and a half faster than any other car has managed... Its way too early to get excited, but I am excited. Forza !
Corretion ,Max was also on the softest tyre C3,along with Perez , Kvyat and of course Vettel. The rest on the medium C2 . Of course the fuel loads are unknown.
20:21 Claire Williams: "It is looking more likely than not that we will now not be in a position to run on track until Wednesday at the earliest. This is obviously extremely disappointing, but it is unfortunately the situation we are in. We will be getting the FW42 on track as soon as we are able."
