Does anyone know what this is?
Mr. Creed's post #375 certainly reflects my own feelings about what is happening in the thread. Some of you people obviously don't like each other, don't respect each other's opinions, and shouldn't be playing in the same sandbox. Why did you drag your arguments over here from the ISO forum? You're entitled to your opinions, but do we have to read about your personal differences, over and over? Sorry, not interested. I've enjoyed the historical content of the thread, but the potshots are a drag.
Please go to www.classic driver.com .Then click on the section ISO. There you will find this car advertised by a company Automobiles Vanderveken - Brussels as an ISO Rivolta Breadvan. The company ISO Rivolta never made such a car. All ISOs built are documented in a certificate for each car. Roberto Negri in Italy has them all !!!! He also acquired all construction drawings, documents and all parts. Someone in the past must have tried to imitate the famous Ferrari Breadvan on an ISO Rivolta chassis. I would not be surprised if this car came also from Mr. Panizza. At the moment he tries to complete a Bizzarrini P538 Duca D'Aosta, a closed version of the open P538. Lets wait and see where this car will end up. In a few hours it will be morning in Europe and we surely will enjoy (more or less) the remarks of the person with the 4 alias. Why ??? Well its probably his company and they try for quite some time to sell this car as an ISO competition breadvan. Please sit back and enjoy the ride. Might get a little bumpy and will end up again in my P538 version. Of course, how can I dare to buy a car for myself!!! which is not original.!!! The "experts" are totally confused and desperate. We hope they don't commit suicide. No words can express this crime, no punishment is hard enough as penance. We are realize that and we have to live with it to the rest of our days. Enjoy the ride!!!
Thank you for your open words. I totally agree. Please let me just make an attempt to explain this matter. For almost 30 years I have been an ISO Grifo and Bizzarrini enthusiast and have acquired over the years more than 35 of these cars to end up keeping 10 in my collection. Since 1978 I have been involved in basically every activity of the ISO warehouse in Italy and was able to gather profound knowledge through the experts of this company. When I answered some questions about a Bizzarrini here in the forum I suddently got pounded with inappropriate, rude remarks and personal insults. But this person, let's call him the 4 alias one, was in these past 30 years- and I can speak in the name of the vast mayority of the ISO/Bizz Club members - never seen, met or spoken with. When he found out that I had acquired a P538 version the personal attacks intensified, also via private emails, mainly to others with the same last name. The same person was already banned from the Alfa and from the ISO/Bizz Forum because of the same ruthless attacks and personal insults. There is not a secret about it. All can be read in the alfa forum if you type in the person's name. You all read that he announced to badmouth one of my cars as a fake one and intents to publish this in his book. This is without any doubt libel and slander, defamation and damage of reputation. Therefore I kept on answering to try to set things straight. I appologize for any inconvenience and will not respond anymore to any of these remarks.
You lie again, and again. Iso wherehouse in noth Italy is a place where you can see Bizzarrini without any chassis number. After with the magic spray, everythings can happen. Nobody insult you, everybody ask your real identity that you try to hyde. You never bought a P538...stop dreaming, you bought a LM Can Am, a RECREATION and you lie to the US customs. I m not part of the Iso forum because, I m the only one who have the courage to tell you that your claim to own P578-006 is a scam. I m not part of Alfa forum because I have sue and won 300 000 $ against one of the members who badmouth me over internet. I will publish in my book the complet saga of all your lies, your claims of owning p578-006. Now, if you believe that you are right, show us the money. Show us the supposed proof. If you are right, I will present my excuses, but I doubt that you will be able to convince us after all your games. I will not badmouth one of your cars, I will just print the truth. I already start on www.classicscars.com I have copy of your claims of owning p578-006, and I have hand writing proof by Panizza that the car had no chassis number except 006 for GP construction car built in 1998. On Iso forum, you claim all fake story and nobody contradict you. You insult them as now, everybody have found out that you lie to them. Mike Clarke should kick you out as you took advantage of him. Concerning, your reputation, it s done. Everybody read your messages and your lies. Your are burnt. You are a pharmasist ? You should call a collegue and ask him to explain you difference between truth and lie ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, what IS it??? Can we be shown a chassis number? I believe it is probably built on an Iso chassis - but by whom, and when? It appears to have a Grifo screen, and Iso/Bizzarrini-type Campagnolo wheels, of course. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry, don't know exactly. Telling from photos (and the cars in the background), I would say they owned and restored it early to mid-1980's. Sorry that I cannot help any further - if it would have been a Ferrari, I would probably know! ;-)
I ve heard that the driver was so fast that he laps everybody on the track...surely have 700 or 800 hp
Padova 2006, Stand of the new marque Bizzarrini, and this car is a recreation of the new marque, no Bizzarrini chassis number. New chassis number from the 2000 Year Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful car! And is a car like this with a new chassisnumber streetlegal? Or are there ways to get it legal with an old lost number?
As I understand it, several years ago the rights to use the name Bizzarrini (ie Trademark) were sold to another group, who intend (intended?) to build a new supercar with design elements of the original cars, but in a completely up-to-date machine. It has been shown already, and pretty spectacular it looks too. I don't know if it has a future or not. I'm not clear quite why they felt the need to also build a replica of the original Bizzarrini Strada/America - surely there are enough people doing that already?! I'm only repeating what I heard somewhere, I'm not an expert in Italian law, but I'm told that after the factory bankruptcy, Giotto Bizzarrini himself is not allowed to build cars as "Bizzarrinis" but may of course call them something else, such as Grifo or P538, both of which names he has registered. (I don't know if this applies to new designs). He may also badge them as "by Bizzarrini", as in fact, Salvatore Diomante does when he builds a replica (as opposed to restoring a real car) - he puts a "by SD" badge on. Trouble is, the first thing some people do is remove said badge, and pretend it's the real thing! Sometimes, though, I think Diomante puts one of his distinctive bodies on a real chassis, where the car is wrecked or the body is too far gone to repair, in which case I suppose the "by SD" badge could refer to just the fibreglass bodywork itself. Some time around 2000-2001 the Italian Finanza authorities started to crack down on replicas and fakes of classic cars, and indeed, some cars, including Bizzarrinis were confiscated by the authorities, I understand. Today, builders of replicas in Italy need to be "squeaky clean" and clearly label their cars as such, or they could be in big trouble. Attached is an example of the SD badge on #246, which is probably based on an original chassis (not certain). It now has a big-block Chevy in it. I don't know if other countries apply the same standards - it would be interesting if any lawyers out there could enlighten us. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The story I heard was that this car in photo 392 was commisiond by V-M and built by SD, but because it was commisioned by V-M it can wear the Bizzarrini badge. Is it just the picture or did they paint the side vents red??? In addition if you go to the V-M website they mention that they are going to build a GT Strada and a P 538 model again!
Big news.... I was today with Giotto to finish some details about 2008 book... Stay here, don t go away...it s better than Hitchckock Here Bebi Grifo built with a Opel Vetra 1800 cc engine injection (2005) Sold to Peter Opper Image Unavailable, Please Login
Then Giotto have built 4 P538 Le Mans for Peter Opper One with a V12 Lambo...but .... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The interesting is is that Giotto have a fews new MARQUES P538 LE MANS = Marque Scuderia Bizzarrini = Marque Grifo = Marque Then, Giotto have built 6 cars (p538) under the marque P578 LE MANS 4 cars for Opper, 2 cars for Eckstein & Co ! The 2 cars for Eckstein are not finish, Giotto is waiting for engine. gearbox from USA, after both cars will be send to NEGRI for finishing. The cars will leave Bizzarrini factory as rolling chassis. But where, it become very interesting is the actual denomination of the car. They will be P538 LE MANS car, not Bizzarrini, but may be sold by Scuderia Bizzarrini, and built by Bizzarrini.
